CityU Leader Visited Universities in Guangdong for Deepening Cooperation in Greater Bay Area


With the entrust of Rector Shu Guang Zhang, CityU Academic Registrar Dr. Sean Li and representative from Global Exchange Office visited Shenzhen University and Guangdong University of Science and Technology to sign the cooperation and exchange agreements.

 

On March 7th, Dr. Sean Li visited Shenzhen University, with the warm welcome by Professor Du Hongbiao, Vice President of Shenzhen University and Professor Li Chen, Vice Dean of Normal College and Ms. HanShuixian, Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office and its Deputy Director Ms. Hou Qiang. In 2017, two universities have signed an academic exchange agreement. During this visit, two universities had an in-depth discussion on the exchange and cooperation under the outline of the development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Both sides focused on student exchange, China-Portugal Joint Graduate School, research of big data cooperation projects, scholars visiting and other important cooperation areas. After that, on behalf of Rector Shu Guang Zhang, Dr. Sean Li signed a student exchange agreement with Shenzhen University. Subsequently, Dr. Sean Li was invited to give a speech about the research method of humanities and social sciences for the teachers and students from Normal College of Shenzhen University.

 

On March 8th, Dr. Sean Li visited Guangdong University of Science and Technology. The Guangdong University of Science and Technology President Liang Ruixiong, Executive Vice President Zhou Eryong and the other relevant university leaders attended the agreement signing ceremony. Dr. Sean Li, on behalf of President Shu Guang Zhang, signed a MOU with Vice President Zhou Eryong, with the aim to seize this opportunity to explore and strengthen the cooperation in the Greater Bay Area.
