Enrollment Target: Application will be open for all CityU students who are above 18 years old. 15-25 students in total.The final selection of candidates will be made according to the principle of best candidates' selection.

Program Description:

1. English Lessons: Integrated classes - students will undertake integrated English for Academic Purposes classes in international classes. Students will be placed at the appropriate level according to their English language proficiency. Over the course of the 4-week program, students will improve speaking, listening, reading, writing and digital literacy skills appropriate for university programs.

2. Cultural Competence Workshop: Closed classes – customised cultural competence classes will be delivered whereby students will gain insights into Australia’s indigenous people, multiculturalism, festivals and celebrations, artistic
expression, international business and cross cultural communication, comparative analysis of cultures Excursions and site visits – students will visit places of interest in and around Sydney, experiencing the city’s iconic architecture, nature walks, native flora and fauna.

3. Extracurricular Activities: Sydney City day trip, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Blue Mountains and others.

Accommodation: Students will be assigned in Homestay. Breakfast and dinner for working days will be included. Three meals will be included for weekends.

1. A certificate of completion and program transcript will be issued by UWS;

2. When the number of applicants reach 10 or above, the best three students with the highest overall performance will be awarded with 3000HKD, 2000HKD and 1000HKD respectively.
